The countdown for the release of the Adidas Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow just started. Releasing on June 9th, 2018, it is going to be the starting pistol to announce the beginning of a loaded Yeezy Season.
This will not be the first time the Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow drops. In fact, it released a while back in December 2017, as a part of a 3-piece capsule that cost around $760. However this was not a regular release, it was a pre-order that did not ship until later on in March.
New and Improved Release
Now, this upcoming release will differ in so many ways.
First, this will be a normal release, not a pre-order. So, based on where you’re located, it will take, as usual, a couple of days to get your sneakers shipped to you.
Second, the Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow will retail at a lower price point. Since it’s dropping Solo this time, it will cost you the regular, kinda affordable, $200.
Third, and last, the SMY will now drop on Yeezysupply, Adidas.com, and possibly even at some select retailers. So the stock level will be higher this time, giving all those unfortunate sneakerheads a fair chance at copping. Relatively fair, since you know, this is a Yeezy and things don’t always go smoothly on such releases.
Features of The Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow
A quick reminder of its features would include, the all-pale yellow uppers and a mixture of various material. The uppers are covered in Mesh, Suede and cow leather. In addition, Adidas’ signature sole technology, adiPrene+ is utilized to build this sole, rather than Boost material.
What’s most prominent in all Yeezy 500 designs, is the bulkiness of the silhouette. The Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow along with the blush and Black, seems to be following the dad-shoe trend, to the letter. Featuring big chunky soles, bringing back some major 90s’ vibes.
An important point to make is that, regardless of how much money they could potentially make on the reselling market, these sneakers are still dope. Yeezys’ hype seems to be never-ending, and more sneakerheads try to cop every release.
So, if you’re planning on copping, for real, make sure you’re always updated with the latest sneaker news. And don’t forget to get AIO X, which now supports Adidas and Yeezysupply to help maximize your chances at copping the Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow and all upcoming Yeezy Releases.
Look for the SMY on June 9th, and stay tuned for more on the Butter, Sesame, Cream whites and Utility Black dropping next. And if you thought Yeezys were Adidas’ best collaboration so far, you might change your mind after you see the DBZ collection dropping as of August.
